02 · Revision history

From brief to running again

Every job moves through the same five revisions, so you always know which one it is in.

  1. REV A

    Brief

Vessel, machinery, symptom and dates, written down once.

  2. REV B

    Survey

Records and remote review first, then an attendance if needed.

  3. REV C

    Plan

Job list, spares and trades matched to the window.

  4. REV D

    Mobilise

Onboarding in 14 to 30 days, with a 24/7 desk.

  5. REV E

    Support

Follow-up on defects until the item is closed out.

03 · Engineering first

Written by engineers, for engineers

Technical ship management at Nanak Ship Management covers superintendence, planned maintenance, drydocking, Class and Flag liaison, machinery reliability and fuel diagnostics. This site is the engineering front door to it.

Spares, riding squads and training sit beside it, so a diagnosis can become a job, a part and a crew without changing supplier.

  • 1Records before opinions
  • 2One plan for parts, people and dates
  • 3Close the defect, not just the ticket

Interactive · Maintenance interval planner

When is the next job due?

Enter the interval from the maker’s manual or your own planned maintenance system. The planner does the arithmetic and drafts a request. It does not replace the maker’s instructions.

06 · FAQ

Questions we are asked most

Open a line to read the answer.

Marine superintendence is the shore-side engineering oversight of a vessel: inspections, job planning, defect follow-up, repairs and survey preparation. Nanak Ship Management lists superintendence inside its technical ship management service, and we route requests to that team.

Fuel diagnostics compare fuel test reports and bunker data with how the engine actually behaves, so poor fuel quality is caught before it damages injectors, liners or turbochargers. Nanak Ship Management lists fuel diagnostics in its technical management service.

A riding repair squad is a team of certified technicians who board a vessel, often at anchor or en route, to complete repairs without a yard stay. Nanak Ship Management publishes dry-dock and riding squad support on its services page.

Include the vessel name, equipment maker and model, part number or drawing reference, quantity, urgency and delivery port with the date. Missing detail causes wrong parts and delays. Our spares builder on this site drafts it, and the Nanak contact page is the next step.

Engine Room Resource Management (NSI-003) addresses teamwork, communication and decision-making among engine room staff. It is listed as a featured course at the Nanak Shipping Institute, which is led by Capt. Dilip Narsian, a Master Mariner.

We are an engineering-first technical support brand in India, connecting vessel owners and operators with the services of Nanak Ship Management, the Nanak Shipping Institute and ProCareerTek. The Nanak Ship Management site holds the full scope.
